Seeking a dedicated Social Worker to support students in a K-12 school setting located in Naperville, IL. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by providing social, emotional, and behavioral support throughout the school year.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and address students social, emotional, and mental health needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop intervention plans.
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed.
- Facilitate referrals to community resources and external support services.
- Promote a positive school climate and support student well-being.
- Document and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies.
Qualifications:
- Valid Social Work license or certification applicable to school settings.
- Experience working in K-12 educational environments preferred.
- Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, mental health issues, and family dynamics.
- Able to effectively communicate with students, families, and faculty.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
